MIG Welding

Gas Metal Arc Welding · GMAW

A high-deposition, semi-automatic process — wire fed continuously from a spool for fast, clean welds across mild steel, stainless and aluminium.

Overview

We run a wide range of welding equipment from reputed brands like Sparc Technologies and Panasonic, and our highly skilled team can translate your design into a precision-finished item. Complex structures are assembled in our fabrication department, so we can supply complete bolted or welded assemblies.

Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) is frequently referred to as MIG welding — a commonly used, high deposition-rate process. Wire is continuously fed from a spool as you weld, which is why MIG is known as a semi-automatic welding process.

MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel lets us offer competitive prices and fast turnaround for both custom items and series production.

MIG welding benefits
  • All-position capability
  • Higher deposition rates than SMAW
  • Less operator skill required
  • Long welds with no starts and stops
  • Minimal post-weld cleaning
